Pineapple Sago Payasam Recipe

This has become one of my favorite desert. Not only it is easy to make, but it taste really really delicious and cools out body instantly. It is best served chilled, perfect desert for this summer..

A simple payasam but taste so special. I love the combo of pineapples and sweet sago balls. I have a separate recipe for sago payasam but this one is a variation from that..I have quite a few payasam in this blog, if you need any more payasam recipe, let me know so i will post it..

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 30 mins
Serves: 4

Sago / Javarisi - 1 cup
Water - 2 cup
Pineapples - 2 cup cubed
Hot Milk - 500 ml
Sugar - 1/2 cup + 1/4 cup
Yellow Food Colouring a pinch


Wash sago well in water. Take it in a pressure cooker. Add 2 cups of water to it, pressure cook for 1 whistle. Turn off the heat and set aside so the pressure releases.

Now take 1 cup of pineapple in a blender and make it into a fine puree. Take it in a sauce pan. Add 1 cup of cubed pineapples and boil it for 5 mins. Add 1/2 cup of sugar and mix well. Cook till it thickens lightly. Add some yellow colour and mix well. Now set aside this mix to cool completely.
Boil milk in a sauce pan.

Now take sago in a pan, add sugar and mix well. Cook this for a min or so.

Add hot milk in this and mix well. Cook till it thickens slightly.

Now take it off the heat and cool down completely.

Now once the mix is cooled, add the pineapple into the milk and mix well.

Chill for few hours and serve.

mix well

cook till it thickens

add sugar

mix well..i added some yellow colour

now it is done..set aside to cool completely
Now take milk in a sauce pan

bring it to a boil and keep simmering till needed

take sago in a pan

add sugar

mix well

add hot milk in this

mix well

now remove it to a bowl. cool it down completely

add in pineapple mix

mix well..chill for few hours Serve
